The Lord stood with me and gave me strength

Load the Bar Foundation strives to further the sport of girls powerlifting and provide an avenue for deserving young women to continue their education past high school through a scholarship in honor of Maegan Claire Myers.

In her honor
"tator"

To know her was to love her

That didn’t mean she wouldn’t challenge you. Claire was a competitor. In all things! The youngest of four girls born to William and Carri Myers, she was an absolute ray of sunshine. She was affectionately known as “Tater” to practically everyone! She loved fiercely. She was humble and she loved the Lord. You never saw her without a smile. Her smile would brighten even your darkest days. She had an uncanny knack for making you forget your troubles and drawing you into her light. She was strong! And man was she a competitor! She started powerlifting at Newton County High School in 2017. The only female powerlifter there. She didn’t care that there weren’t any other girls doing it. She was fierce in that way. Nothing was going to stop Claire if she really wanted to do something and what Claire really liked was winning! She still holds APA ( American Powerlifting Association) world records for her age and weight class.
